Enable Microsoft Authentication app

After entering your username and password you will likely see the following screen or something similar:

Hit next. Microsoft will present you with their recommendations for which app to use:

THE MICROSOFT APP IS NOT REQUIRED. YOU CAN CHOOSE A DIFFERENT APP.

I personally use the Microsoft app and it works fine. You can also use our existing FortiToken app, Google Authenticator, Apple Authenticator, among others. It is advised to have them in one place.

Managers with tablets using FortiToken, and user who don’t want to use Microsoft’s app are to select the hyperlink for “I want to use a different authenticator app”

You will be presented with a QR code.

Adding new codes to apps varies with each app.

FortiToken has a + symbol in the upper right corner, select that, and then Scan QR code.

Enter the provided code to verify and you will regain access.
